A science course (or course bundle) teaches one subject — often with teacher-led video — so parent prep stays low. It does not replace language arts, history, math, or a full diploma plan.
This page covers middle and high school Christian online science. Journey appears here for those grades, not as an elementary science all-in-one or a full diploma curriculum, even if listed for younger grades elsewhere. Pair every science course with a separate core spine.

Fits Christian middle and high schoolers who want teacher-led online science courses with low parent prep — pair with a separate core spine. This page covers middle and high school science courses only — not elementary science and not an all-in-one.
Watch out for: Not an all-in-one. Not a full diploma curriculum. Do not drop language arts, history, or math because science video feels “complete.”
Shop Journey Homeschool Academy →Apologia publishes creation-based science textbooks and courses from a Christian worldview. Use it as a contrast when you want parent-facilitated textbook science rather than teacher-led video.
Watch out for: Check the publisher’s site for current details.

Teacher-led video means the instructor carries explanation. Your job shifts toward access, pacing, lab or demo follow-through when a course includes it, and keeping the credit record honest. That is still real parenting — just not “write the science lesson from scratch every night.” If you need science and a membership library for other electives, do not collapse those lanes: Journey stays a science course add-on; SchoolhouseTeachers.com stays a membership library.
Journey (and similar courses) fill a subject gap. Keep a spine for everything else: busy-parent literature or kit years → open-and-go; broader Christian packages → Christian guide; membership library browsing → Christian online membership; digital all-in-ones → online guide. Math still separate when needed: Math-U-See vs Saxon vs Teaching Textbooks.
We compared on Christian worldview, course / single-subject scope, low parent time, online/video format, mid budget, and middle & high school focus. This page does not cover elementary science. Apologia is included for comparison only. See Methodology. Read our affiliate disclosure.
